William Perryman Obituary

PERRYMAN, SR., WILLIAM JONATHAN, Departed this life on Wednesday, March 27,2013 in Leesburg, FL. William was born on August 31, 1927 in Cedartown, GA to the late Jeanette Knighton
Perryman and James Virgil
Perryman. William was a three year starting quarterback for Cedartown High School. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country from 1945-1949. While in the Navy, he was stationed in both Guam and China where he intercepted Russian code after World War II. William was a proud Bulldog, having earned a Bachelors of Science (1953) and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Georgia. He held numerous sales positions with Alcoa in Des Moines, Birmingham, Pittsburgh, San Francisco and Atlanta. William loved the outdoors and passed this on to his two sons, spending hundreds of hours fishing together. He is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Ann Green
Perryman, his parents, his brothers, James Edwin Perryman and Howell Virgil Perryman, his sister, Virginia Perryman Zetterower, and brother-in-law Fred Ulrey. William is survived and loved by his sons
William Jonathan Perryman, Jr. (Elizabeth Woodward) and David Green Perryman (Kirsti Reisaeter), grandchildren Jakob Perryman (17), Kirstianna Perryman (15),
Karoline Perryman (13) and
Elizabeth Perryman (13), his companion Shari Hough, brother-in-law Dr. J.W. Zetterower, sisters-in-law Elizabeth Ulery and Katerine
Eastwood (Larry) and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 11:00AM at Kingswood UMC, 5015 Tilly Mill Rd., Dunwoody, GA. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. Interment will follow at 4:00PM at Polk Memory Gardens, 2245 Rockmart Hwy, Cedartown, GA. Arrangements by Lester C Litesey Funeral Home in Cedartown. If desired, memorials may be made to the Leukemia /Lymphoma Society, 3715 Northside Parkway NE Atlanta, GA 30327.
