Joan Rusk Memoriam

Joan Rusk peacefully passed away from cancer on Thursday, October 29th at her residence surrounded by family. Joan moved to Florida in 1967. She worked at Mercury Marine, the Osceola Sun Newspaper and the Osceola County Courthouse, where she retired in 1994. She volunteered at the St. Cloud Food Pantry, Osceola Regional Medical Center and Cornerstone Church. She was also a member of Senior Friends/H2u.
Joan is survived by her children: Glen C. Iaggi and wife Nancy of Jay, ME; Scott T. Iaggi and wife Debbie of Campbellsville, K., and Corby J. Rusk and wife Jill of Weeke Wachee, FL; Kim Moreland of Indio, CA; Robyn Wilson and husband Joseph of Poway, CA, and Shannon K. Swilley of St. Cloud, FL; grandchildren: Cheryl, Julie, Yvonne, Abigail, Matthew, Timothy, Melinda, Craig, Ryan, Eric, Erin, Steffanie, Mike & Candy; eighteen great-grandchildren & the four legged love of her life, Elliott.
Her incredible love of science and medicine led her to donate her body to the University of Central Florida Medical College.
A memorial service will be held November 10th at 6:00 p.m., at Cornerstone Church, 2925 Canoe Creek Rd. St. Cloud, Fl. In lieu of flowers, Joan requested that donations be made to the St. Cloud Food Pantry, www.savethemanatee.org, happytrailsanimalrescue.org or animal charities of your choice.
