Tommy Roberts Memoriam
Tommy Roberts, a beloved son, brother, father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away on Aug. 30, 2025, in Orlando, Fla. He had been a cherished resident since the 1960s. Born in a small town in Kentucky on Sept. 19, 1942, later settling down in Saint Cloud Fla. with his wife Marguerite to raise his family. Tommy carried the values of his humble beginnings throughout his life-values that shaped the man so many came to admire and love.
Tommy was a larger-than-life figure whose presence commanded respect and whose heart held deep love for his family. He was the proud father of six boys, each of whom he raised with unwavering discipline, a strong work ethic, and a deep sense of integrity. His commitment to providing for his family was unmatched working six days a week without fail until his well-earned retirement.
Though his early years were marked by tireless labor and dedication, Tommy found a new light in the later chapters of his life. He cherished the peace that came with age and found immense joy in the laughter and love of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His bond with them was tender and transformative, revealing a softer side of a man who had spent decades as a pillar of strength.
Tommy's favorite retreat was the quiet woods of North Florida, where he would reflect on life surrounded by nature and the loyal companionship of his animals and dogs. These moments of solitude brought him serenity and a deep connection to the world around him. Often his spirit would be called back to Saint Cloud where he lived with his loving partner Nida Hensley of 19 years. Where they enjoyed hosting friends and family and good food.
He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, resilience, and love-a legacy carried forward by his sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Tommy Roberts will be remembered not only for the life he lived but for the lives he shaped. His spirit and soul will forever echo into the hearts of those who knew him.
Tommy is survived by his six sons. Terry (Rebecca), Phil (Regina), David (Dori), Jeffery (Lisa), Chris (Terri) and Todd (Liza); brother Roger; sisters Anna, Loretta and June. 19 Grandchildren and 29 Great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents Willard and Hazel, brother Kenneth and sisters Kate, Nadine and Emma.
Rest in peace, Dad. Your journey here may be complete, but your story lives on in all of us. We will be reunited soon. Psalm 23
