James Taylor Obituary

James "JT" Carry-Lee Taylor Jr., age 32, passed away unexpectedly on March 7, 2024, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with his family and close friends by his side. He was born on September 19, 1991, to parents James and Laynettie (Haney) Taylor Sr., in Illinois.

He graduated from Oshkosh West High School and soon after met the love of his life Breanna Wright. They were inseparable and could often be found on the beach or at a campsite spending quality time with their children.

JT most recently was employed as a Chef at the University of Oshkosh. He felt as if they were cooking as one big family. He was very passionate about cooking, especially making ribs and chicken wings on the grill. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for being a kind, loving person, always willing to give a person in need the shirt off his back, or go the extra mile for them.

James is survived by his wife, Breanna Wright-Taylor; children, J-Lee Wright, Jayviion Wright, Nahlanna Taylor, James Taylor Jr. and Jace Taylor; parents, James and Laynettie (Haney) Taylor Sr.; his mother-in-law, Veronica Wright; brothers, Tony Carter and Lonnell Taylor; and many nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his grandmother, Maxine Taylor.

He will be truly missed by his wife, children, family and many friends that were lucky enough to come into his life.

A private Celebration of Life BBQ will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the UWO team for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
