Larry Lautenschlager Obituary
After he attended Oshkosh High School, he married the love of his life, Carol Lippold. They met on the 4th of July and married on June 15, 1963. He called her his "little firecracker." Together, they raised a daughter, Kelly.
He worked 37 ½ years at Morgan Doors, while working as a recording secretary in Union 1363, he later became president for many years. He was also a foreman. He worked at Northwestern Fan Company for 5 years and then 7 years at Oshkosh Truck until his retirement.
Larry enjoyed woodworking, especially making cabinets, tables and decorations for craft fairs. He also enjoyed working on the lawn and taking care of the bushes and trees. In his free time, he loved fishing in the pond in his backyard and fed the fish. The fish heard him walk on the dock and waited for the food. He taught Carly and Ryan how to fish. They enjoyed being together and Larry loved them so much.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Lautenschlager; daughter, Kelly (Jeffrey) Weisjohn; grandchildren, Carly (Brett) Sonnenschein and Ryan (Sophie M.) Weisjohn; great-grandchildren, Jonah and Jayla; sister, Patricia Faust; brother-in-law, Jay (Nancy) Ratchman; two German Shephards; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Phillip and Elsie (Reickman) Lautenschlager; stepbrother, Eugene (Diane) Roepke; nephew, Scott Roepke; parents-in-law, Clarence (Marion Hildebrandt) Lippold; and huskie, Thunder.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Seefeld Funeral Home, 1025 Oregon St., from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, with service to immediately follow.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Mercy Medical Center ICU, Oshkosh and the nurses and volunteers at Home of Hope in Fond du Lac, for their excellent care and kindness.
