Lauren Stenson Obituary
She was born October 20, 1964 in Oshkosh, the daughter of Henry "Romy" and Donna (Schuhart) Stenson.
Laurie attended Oshkosh North High School, then traveled with Calkins Midways before returning to Oshkosh and attending UWO. She worked at Phoenix Printing in Oshkosh for several years until shortly before her death.
Laurie was a very active and involved mother to her children, David, Michael, and Ashley Ittner, and had many hobbies including drawing, watercolors, and ceramics. She also loved sports, horses, camping, road trips, collecting maps, trying new recipes, and going antiquing with her mother and sister. She enjoyed classic rock, laughing at the absurd, and had a great sense of fun and mischief.
Laurie is survived by her three children as well as her mother, Donna; three brothers, Stanley, Lyle, and Jay; two sisters, Leah and Hope; three nephews, Dane (Justine) Liergaard, Ryan (Tamara) Stenson, and Derek Faust; and one niece Elizabeth (Tyler) Maurer. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends including her best friend Lisa Stenson.
She was preceded in death by her father Henry in 1979, her brother Walter in 2014, and her brother Robert in 2023.
In lieu of a traditional service, Laurie's family will be holding a private ceremony and planting a tree in her honor in Rainbow Park. Memorial donations may be directed to the S&PAA, the CureSZ Foundation, or the AFSP.

We want to express our sincere Christian condolences to David, Michael, and Ashley. Your mom was a great lady to hang around with at all of the kids' athletic events during about a 6 year span of time. She has a great sense of humor and was fun to be around. We pray for her soul and want to remind everyone that "God is a very present help in trouble and will never leave your side, call upon him when troubles come and thank him for all of His blessings." God bless you all as you continue on your journey on this earth. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
