Robert Brayton Obituary
d. March 2, 2025
Bob Brayton, 84, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at his home in Las Vegas, NV. He was born in Oshkosh, WI, son of S. Arthur and Bonnie (Flanagan) Brayton and oldest of 14 children.
He attended Wood School. Dad worked at Oshkosh Co-op (Shippers), where he pumped gas and serviced vehicles. He bought the co-op and continued to run the business for many years. While fueling the vehicles, he would enjoy sharing tootsie rolls with the customers. We were taught to always offer to wash their windshields.
Dad farmed for many years and took over a second farm after the passing of his father.
In dad's younger years, he enjoyed motorcycling, visiting friends, and fellow farmers. On his visits, he would like to stop and shake dice to see who buys the next soda round while catching up on the events and sharing jokes.
He enjoyed playing cards, playing Monopoly, long car rides, and loved to treat for meals with friends and family and was always welcoming.
He had nicknames for most of the family members. There was always much conversation on where and how he came up with some of those names!
Dad demonstrated his love by being a very giving man. He was a sociable man and that brought much joy into our lives and others.
In his later years, Dad retired and moved to Las Vegas. He discovered that he preferred to keep busy and to be around others, so he went back to work for private security companies until his passing. This brought him much happiness.
He is survived by his 3 daughters and their families Laura (Ken) Johnson of Las Vegas, Kim (Jerry) Jensen, and Wendy (Jim) Pollnow, both of Oshkosh, WI; his Grandchildren: Ross Hobbs, Douglas (Taylor) Burdick, Rhienna Gabriel, Bethany (Garett) Neff, Valerie (Devon) Strebe, Kaurista Jensen & Fiancé - Sebastian Townsend., his previous wife Carol (our mother), and wife, Paula. His Great Grandchildren: Cole Fenske, Caleb Fenske, Casey Havertine, and Milo Burdick. His siblings and their families; Sister-in-Law (Macy) Brayton, Sisters; Anne Petri, Bonnie Droessler, Liz (Mike) Haanstad, Jane (Dick) Spanbauer, Ellen Read, Cindy Burton, Kathy (Chris) Vorster, Beverly (Jim) Rousseau, Brothers; Bill (Roberta) Brayton, Tim (Gina) Brayton, Don Brayton, and Ed (Tami) Brayton and many nieces and nephews.

We will have a celebration of Life for our Dad in Oshkosh at a later date where family and friends can come to share the joy the memories and stories that our dad brought to their lives.
DAD
So many stories to tell, so little time to share,
How can we tell you just how much we really cared.
Thank you for your love in all the little ways shown,
even though we did not realize it until we were almost fully grown.
You expected a lot of us and taught right from wrong.
But looking back it was what gave us our work ethic and the ability to remain strong.
You and mom set the roots, and we learned about God and His Love
That He is our Savoir and one day we will all meet in Heaven above.
In eternity with Christ, there will be no pain anymore.
While we rest in Christs' arms forever, where we will tire no more
For forever with him, on his wings we will soar.
.
We love and miss you. You are forever in our hearts
Love, Laura, Kim & Wendy
