I remember when I was a very little girl I looked up to Ann because she was older, she smiled a lot, had fun and seemed assured. As we slowly grew up I realized she was smart, pretty - her smile was one of her best assets. She'll always be that Ann I looked up to who lived just around the corner. Her brothers must miss her very, very much, as have her friends.

I was saddened to learn of Ann's passing. Ann was such a great person to be around. She was always upbeat and helpful, I always felt lucky when she was working on the same project. Ann lived her life joyfully and spread that joy to others. My sincere condolences to her family.

I had the opportunity to donate all my Mother's bras for her entire life to Ann. My Mom kept all of them. Even the ones from the 30's that has stays in them. Ann used them to decorate the swag vehicle for the Breast Cancer three day walk. She was always giving to her community. She was always my personal hero for she also went for her Master's for the knowledge not for the advancement potential.

Our sincere condolences to the Gilkey family. I worked with Ann in the early/mid-1980's at the U.S. Customs Service (USCS). She was a mentor to everyone she met. I saw her about one year ago at a mini-reunion of some Detroit area USCS personnel. At that time we thought the hard times were behind her. We will remember the very good times with Ann. Again, our sincerely condolences to her family.

So sorry to hear about Ann. I worked with Ann at GM for many years and I had so much fun knowing her; she had a great sense of humor. Ann was always the bright light in our office. We will miss you.

I am so sorry to hear about Ann. We had a Facebook group of people who had gone to Plymouth Elementary School and graduated from Midland High in 1973. Ann was very active.
Having grown up on Chatham Drive I had known Ann many years, but didn't know her as evidenced by this surprise passing to us within the group.
