Bob Kareus
Bob Kareus of Midland, MI went home to be with the Lord after he passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023 at the age of 83. He was born on Wednesday, June 19, 1940 to William and Ella Kareus of Gladwin, MI.
At the age of 28, Bob founded Mobile Waterproofing and successfully managed the business for 45 years. Bob sat on the board of the Midland and Bay City Home Builders Associations. Prior to starting his business, Bob worked for 5 years at Dow Corning.
As an avid outdoorsman, Bob had a passion for hunting, fishing, and traveling the world. As a member of The National Wild Turkey Federation, he collected turkey calls and even made his own. In addition, Bob was an active member of The Mid-Forest Lodge.
He is preceded in death by his Parents: Willam (Ella Godden) Kareus; Siblings: Leonard, Warren, Bill, Ken, Gloria, Doris, and Grace.
Bob's most cherished accomplishment in life was his family. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 63 years, Judi Kareus, and his sons Scott (Patti) Kareus and Brent (Chris) Kareus, along with his grandchildren Ashlee, Kirsten, Casandra, and Tegan. Additionally, he leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Nora and Avery, who will continue to carry his legacy with love and pride.
In accordance to Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to the Humane Society of Midland County (https://midlandshumanesociety.org/) or the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).

Dear Judi, Scott and Brent and families, so sorry to hear of Bob passing, you were such good neighbors on Raymond Road, we sure had some good times together. Bob would help us with anything, Bob Kissane did a lot of painting for Bob Kareus' turkey calls. You have our deepest Sympathy. May God grant you peace and strength through these difficult times.
