Clyde Arthur Obituary
Clyde Richard Arthur Sr., age 94, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022, after a brief illness. He was born on February 15, 1928, in Midland to the late Harry and Olive Arthur. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a World War II veteran. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 6950 in Linwood. Clyde retired from The Dow Chemical Company in 1984. He enjoyed bowling (inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame), was an avid golfer, enjoyed hunting and had farmed most of his life. He is survived by daughter Connie (John) Yelinek, and their children Jeremy (Pam) O'Hare, Jamie (Dalene) O'Hare, Michelle (Mitchell) Kardas, John Yelinek Jr.; daughter Deb (Ron) Cay and their children Kristopher Arthur, Hollie (Aaron) Barth, Matt Cay; son Kurt Arthur and his son Ben Arthur; daughter Becky (Rob) Diehl and their son Robbie Diehl; daughter Tammy (Marty) Norris; son Clyde Arthur Jr. (deceased) and his children Dan Arthur, Ann Arthur; family member Mark Brzezniak; step-son John (Edith) Miner and their children Gary (Lynn) Miner, Greg Miner; step-son Ted Miner and his son Charlie Miner; step-son Donald (deceased) and wife Jeane Miner and their children Rodney (Heather) Miner, Amy, Holly and Jennifer; several grandchildren, three sisters Deloris (Bill) Boman, Eunice (Jim) Allen, Nancy (Dave) VanHorn and many nephews and nieces. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Duane, James, Eugene and Gerald Arthur. A special thank you from the family to his VA Home Health Care nurse Darryl, and also to McLaren Bay City ER staff and the Hospice team. Rather than flowers, please consider memorials to the V.F.W. Post 6950 in Linwood or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Memorial services will take place at 12 noon, Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 W. Wheeler Street. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10 am until time of services. Military Honors will be presented by the United States Air Force and the Midland Area Veterans.
