David Ginther Obituary

David Paul Ginther
David Paul Ginther, 32 of Midland, died Sunday morning, September 14, 2025, at his home. He was born August 9, 1993, in Grosse Pointe, the son of Dr. Mark and Kristine (Bousamra) Ginther. David was raised in Midland and was an accomplished, talented pianist, and annual participant in 'Keyboardfest' at the Midland Center for the Arts. His talents also led him to 'Celebrating the Spectrum', a festival of music and life at the Michigan State College of Music. David enjoyed outdoor activities; he was an avid bike rider and cross-country skier, both locally and in Michigan's upper peninsula. One time David and his father rode their bikes 100 miles in a day. He had walked the Mackinac Bridge on Labor Day annually for over 20 years, competed locally in Michigan's Special Olympics, and had been a member of Blessed Sacrament Knights of Columbus Council #13452.
David is survived by his parents, Dr. Mark and Kristine Ginther; siblings: Edward Zawol, Megan Ginther, and Peter Scott Ginther, all of Midland. He is also survived by numerous cousins, numerous aunts and uncles, and many friends around the area.
Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, September 22, 2025, at Blessed Sacrament Church with Fr. Rob Howe celebrating. Interment will take place in Lakeside Cemetery in Colon Twp. David's family will receive family and friends at the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street, on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of the Liturgy. A vigil will take place at 7 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Arnold Center or Voice Inc., both of Midland, or the Michigan State College of Music.
All of us at Ware Smith Woolever are honored the Ginther family has entrusted us with the care of their loved one.
