Donna Moldovan Obituary

Donna L. Moldovan, 84, of Freeland, passed away at Eden House in Troy, Friday, Dec. 9, 2016 from a 10-year battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Donna was born April 17, 1932 in Midland to the late Alvadore and Ella (Miles) McMillen. She married Daniel Moldovan Nov. 29, 1956 and he preceded her in death Aug. 17, 2006. Donna worked as an office professional at Bay Area Chiropractic Center for 17 years. She really enjoyed the interaction with the patients and her co-workers. She was strong in her faith to God and active in the United Church of God where she attended church for 35 years. Donna had a gifted spirit for life. She loved her family unconditionally. Some of her favorite activities were walking, traveling, dancing and going to the sporting events of her grandchildren.

Surviving are four children, Dan (Cindy) Moldovan, Vicki Moldovan Shafley, Todd Moldovan (Bruce), Beth Moldovan (Jon) Ledy; eight grandchildren, Traci Shafley (Sefi) Grossman, Carri Shafley, Kelli Shafley, Jami Shafley, Denae Moldovan, Garrett Moldovan, Derek Ledy (Lindsey Schultz) Ledy and Kyle Ledy; three great-grandchildren, Alivia Shafley, Alexah Grossman, Asher Grossman; step-grandchildren, Mallory Eudy, Lauren Bulanek; step-great-grandchildren, Jacob Betts, Aubrey Bulanek, Lilith Eudy, Violet Coates. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ellagene Leppein, Beatrice Cox; and brother, Robert McMillen.

Memorial services will be held at 12 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017 at United Church of God, 8756 Carter Road, Freeland, MI 48623.

Donna will be missed, she was my Aunt from the time I was 10. After my Mother passed and Daniel did Donna and I did a lot of things together, eating out, traveling, Center for the Arts. She is missed. She enjoyed life.
