Dorothy E. Stampley, passed may 31, 2013 at home in South Plainfield. Born in Rocky Mount, VA., she has been a resident of South Plainfield for 56 yrs. She was a former member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Plainfield. Mrs. Stampley was a devoted and caring mother and grandmother known for her love of gardening.
Predeceased by her husband Luther Stampley, Sr., sisters Willie Mae Poe, Florence McKnight, she is survived by her sons Kenneth L (Janice), Luther Stampley Jr. daughter Sandra E (R.J.) Jones 6 grandchildren, 6 g. grandchildren, uncles Edgar & William Poe Jr.
Funeral services will be held Friday 10 AM at Judkins Colonial Home. Visitation will be held Thursday 6-8 PM at the funeral home. www.judkinscolonialhome.com
