I recall many years of friendship with Doug Leng. There were not only overlaps in our research interests but also in our approach to the field that made for many interesting discussions. He was obviously of a scholarly disposition and thought fundamentally about things. I pray for his soul to rest in peace! Ramki Ramkrishna (Purdue University). My heartfelt condolences to his family!

What a wonderful person. I always remembered him as an example of how Dow treated and educated people. In the late 60s early 70s I was just out of college and working on the pentachlorophenol prill tower in Midland. To better understand what was happening in the tower it was suggested I talk to Dr. Leng about fluid flow. He was a gracious person talking to a new Production Development Engineer. I have never forgotten the experience.
