Douglas Manning
Age 85 of Elsie passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Ashley Healthcare Center.
Memorial service will be held 1pm Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Edenville Seventh Day Adventist Church, 6530 Sandy Ridge Dr. Edenville MI, 48620 with Travis Smith officiating.
Douglas was born August 30, 1936 in Carson City, the son of Carl W. and Grace (Collet) Manning.
He graduated from Cedar Lake Academy in 1954.
He was a member of Edenville 7th Day Adventist.
He married Iris Loella (Bugbee) Manning at Edenville 7th Day Adventist on September 4, 1955.
Douglas worked many jobs, farming was his passion that he loved , was a school bus driver up until he was 78 years old, worked on the Alaska pipeline, he was very active in church as an elder and a Deacon, and worked at Sanford Meridian for 16 years.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Iris (Bugbee) Manning; two sons, Garry (Connie) Manning and Jerry (Kelley) Manning; grandchildren, Carrie (Will) Schmoekel, Justin (Alisha) Manning, Jessica (Brad) Dugalich, Rachell Manning, Douglas Manning, and Kyle (Caitlin) Manning; sixteen great-grandchildren; brother, Dan Manning; and many other loving family and friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Carl Manning; mother, Grace (Collet) Manning; brother, Bob Manning; and Leanore McGraw.
Memorial contributions are suggested to church.
