Ella C. Bare

Ella C. Bare, age 99, of Waterford, formerly of Midland, died on Friday Aug. 15, 2008 at Lourdes Nursing Home in Waterford. The daughter of the late Albert E. and Minnie A. (Eggebrecht) Federspiel was born in Lafayette Township, Gratiot County on Feb. 19, 1909 where she was raised and educated. On Aug. 4, 1931 in Lafayette Presbyterian Church, Ella married Ernest Bare. He died on Aug. 2, 2000. She was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church. Ella enjoyed crocheting, doing hand crafts and reading. She was a Red Cross Volunteer during World War II and was a member of the Rebecca Lodge.

Surviving are her daughters, Paula (John) Acton of Clarkston, Linda Record of Birmingham, Phyllis (Pedro) Delgado of Berkley; grandchildren, Laura Phou, Jane Williams, James Acton, Ruth DeWitt, Pedro Delgado and Antonio Delgado; great grandchildren, Michael Phou, Jonathan Phou, Antonio Kraus-Acton, Jack DeWitt and Colin DeWitt; her sister, Lenora Blank of Midland. Ella was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl, Edward and Lawrence Federspiel and a son-in-law, William Record.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday Aug. 19, 2008 from Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Rev. Wallace H. Mayton III of Memorial Presbyterian Church will officiate. Internment will follow in Midland City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
