Frances Osterhout Obituary

Frances Rose Lee (Edwards) Osterhout, 74, of Lake City, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006, in Lake City.

Frances was born Oct. 2, 1931, to R.E. and Mavis (Shrontz) Edwards in Lake City. She graduated from Lake City High School in 1949. She married Clare Osterhout, Nov. 18, 1951, and lived in Midland until 1980, when she moved to Cadillac. She was employed at Wolverine Federal in Midland and assumed management of the Cadillac branch office until her retirement in 1990. She enjoyed music, playing the organ, spending time at the family cabin in Curtis and at the casino.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Joe Jablonski) Beckwith of Midland; son, Dale (Sherri) Osterhout of Cadillac; grandchildren, Chris and Kyle Beckwith of Midland, Kevin Beckwith of Arizona, Paula Osterhout of Lake City, Kelly Osterhout of Midland, Amber Osterhout of Coleman, and Ashley and Andrew Osterhout of Cadillac; great-granddaughter, Chloe of Lake City; brothers, Jack (Alice) Edwards of Lake City and Florida, Ernie (Janet) Edwards of Lake City, and Clare Edwards of Bay City; sisters, Dora (Dave) Inman of Lake City, and Bonnie (George) Stewart of Manton; sister-in-law, Marge (Bill) Stanfel of Ypsilanti; brothers-in-law, Lloyd (Violet) Osterhout of Curtis, and Frank Osterhout of Ypsilanti; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clare; son Dennis; and daughter-in-law, Diana.

Services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at the Young Funeral Home, Lake City.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday. Burial will be in Lake City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Michigan.
