Frank H. Daniels

Frank Herbert Daniels, 71, of Sanford, died Thursday, March 2, 2017, after a struggle with cancer, surrounded by family. He was born Feb. 3, 1946 in Detroit, the son of Leonard and Lucille Daniels. Frank was one of four children. He attended Redford Thurston High School, graduating in 1965. He was an honored veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Vietnam era. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 38 years. He earned an apprenticeship while at Ford and became an electrician. In 1968 he married his sweetheart, Linda Emans; together they raised two children. Frank enjoyed hobbies like hunting, fishing and golfing, especially if accompanied by friends or family. Retirement was busy – he was a part-time ranger at Sandy Ridge Golf Course in Midland, and traveled many miles to cheer at his grandsons' baseball games.

Survivors include his wife, Linda of Sanford; his son, William of Redford Township; and daughter, Sally and her husband John and their children, Matthew and Nathan, all of Lakeville, Minn.; siblings, Sue, Robert (Mary); loving in-laws, many nieces and nephews, cousins and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim; and brother in-law, Jerry.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Frank is scheduled for Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Saline, 143 E. Michigan, Saline, MI 48176. Visitation will be before the service at 2 p.m. Luncheon to follow memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mid Michigan Home Care.
