Frederick Weber Obituary

Frederick L. "Fred" Weber, 81, of Zephyrhills, Fla. and formerly of Auburn died unexpectedly Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007 at his home in Zephyrhills.

Fred was born Dec. 12, 1925 in Hemlock, to the late William and Esther (Kraatz) Weber and resided in this area most of his life with the last six years in Zephyrhills. Fred was a member of the First Baptist Church of Freeland and retired from The Dow Chemical Co. in 1988 after 23 years service. Fred enjoyed life to the fullest, spending time with friends and family. Fred enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, having traveled to all the states except Hawaii. On June 29, 1946, Fred married Betty LeFevre, she predeceased him on July 16, 1999. Then on August 30, 2002, Fred married Loris I. McBride, she survives him.

Also surviving are five children, Sue (David) Greenwood of Cadillac, Rick (Gloria) Davis of Corona, Calif., Roger (Vivilyn) Davis of EI Cajon, Calif., Stephen (Susan) Davis of Riverside, Calif., and Lori (Robert) White of Mount Pleasant; three grandchildren, Bryan, Anthony and Renaye; 16 stepgrandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren. A brother, D.J. (Debbie) Frost of Saginaw and a sister, Barbara Braman of Bridgeport. He was predeceased by a son, William Weber, and a sister, Alberta Kapka.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Freeland. The Rev. Shawn Rittmiller will officiate with burial in Pine Grove Cemetery in Auburn. Friends may call at the Cunningham/Taylor Funeral Home, 312 W. Midland, Auburn on Sunday 6-8 p.m., Monday from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m., and at the church Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider First Baptist Church of Freeland, Baptist Children's Home in St. Louis or the donor's favorite charity.

We were saddened but rejoicing to see that Fred has left us. But I'm sure he is enjoying those streets of gold. He always made me smile growing up in the church with him. We will be praying for your family. Enjoy your great memories of him
