George Cecil Mott

George Cecil Mott (Bensch), 76, of Midland, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at the Toni & Trish House in Auburn.

The son of the late Gordon and Marion (Parker) Mott was born on Oct.20, 1931, in Midland, where he attended Bensch School and Midland High. While in the U.S. Army, he served in both Korea and Japan during the Korean War. On Sept. 13, 1980, he married the former Carol Anne Paulson. George was employed by Dow Corning for thirty 35, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the U.S.W. Local and the Sanford American Legion.

Cherishing memories of their life together is his wife, Carol Anne. He is also survived by his children, Robert(Colette) Mott, Michael (Melissa) Mott, Linda (Felix) Touza and Kim (Randy) Francisco; as well as Carol Anne's daughter, Kimberly (Jeffery) Marden. Also mourning the loss is George's brother-in-law, Ellsworth F. (JoAnn) Benson III of Stamford, Conn. and sister-in-law, Joan Benson of Midland. George will be missed by his 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces; and his dear friends, Mary Bliss, Dick, Joyce and Linda Kartz and David, Karen and Ashley Whisler as well.

In accordance with Georges' wishes, cremation has taken place with no public service. Memorials may be offered to the Toni & Trish House in Auburn at P.O. Box 345, Midland, MI 48642.
