Rejean, Vera, and Bob,
Our heartfelt condolence on Greg’s passing. We’ve known Greg through many decades and were comforted by his steadfastness, deliberativeness, and coolness when faced with challenges. Greg’s strength of character sustained him and us around him. Back in 2001, the Double Handed Challenge faced extreme weather; only one boat made it to Roger City, and Great White and her crew were lost. The rest of us struggled to reach shore safely, battling the extreme forces of nature for 12-plus hours. After Greg’s landfall, he embarked on a port-by-port, marina-by-marine journey to affirm that Double Trouble had made it safely ashore as well. Actions and bonds like that formed Greg’s relationships with those he touched. He will be missed more than words can express. His spirit will live-on in the Boat Shed.
