Joan Daleki Obituary
Joan Katherine Daleki, age 94, peacefully passed away into the arms of her Lord and Savior on September 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family in Marietta, GA.
She was born to the late Louis and Cora Kaweck of Midland. She was born and raised in Midland. Joan graduated from Midland High School, continued her education in Detroit, and earned her Certification as a Lab Technician who then worked for Dr. Meisel on Main St. She was also a dental assistant for Dr. Warren, DDS of Midland, until she became self-employed when opening The Uniform Center and Mary Anne's Fashions; both located on Ashman Circle for many years until retirement.
Joan married Paul J. Daleki, and the two remained together until his death in 1987. Joan enjoyed various things, including reading, gardening, and playing bridge, euchre, and mahjong with her golden girlfriends, Marie, Mary, and Angie. Joan moved to Marietta, GA, in 2020 to enjoy the warmer winters and was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church of Marietta, GA.
Left are her children, David (Pam) Daleki of Midland and Mary Daleki Ohlrogge of Marietta, GA. Joan had four loving grandchildren, Daniel Ohlrogge of Marietta, GA, Matthew Ohlrogge of Marietta, GA, Chris (Vanessa) Daleki of Saginaw, MI, and Lauren Daleki of Saginaw, MI. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Norman Kaweck Sr. of Midland and Warren Kaweck of Bay City.
A Christian funeral for Joan will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 2240 Shallowford Rd., Marietta, GA 30066. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to make a donation to your local Humane Society in Joan's memory for her love of dogs; or the Atlanta Humane Society, 1551 Perry Blvd., Atlanta, GA 30318.
