Karen Hoerger Obituary
Karen Jo Hoerger (Yoder) born August 3, 1956, in Saginaw, MI, passed away on March 7, 2023, in a car accident in Midland, MI.
Karen spent her life taking care of and teaching others. Sharing her passions with everyone she met. When school was out for the year, she spent her summer camping at Lost Valley Campgrounds. No matter where you saw her, she probably (most definitely) had some yarn and hooks to crochet, a book or two that she was reading. Walking her dog Rosie around always brought a smile to her face. Cross country trips with her husband, cruises and trips with her sisters brought her many joys.
Karen is survived by her husband Bruce Hoerger, daughters Brandy Jo and Samantha Jane (Steve) LaClair, siblings Duane (Celeste) Raymond, Bunny Beyersdorf, Loretta (Mark) Mikulewicz, Lois Elaine Raymond, and Fred (Dana) Raymond. Karen also has 8 stepchildren Suzanne Adrian, Annette (Sean) Murray, William Meyer, Michael (Courtney) Hoerger, Victoria Lee Hoerger, Jonathan (Annie) Hoerger, Melissa Turner, and Charolotte Brundage, 20 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, 14 nieces and nephews, best friends Jill Johnson and Dave Smith, plus the multitude of people that called her mom, grandma, aunt etc.
She was preceded in death by her parents Esther Jane and Donald Duane Raymond; 2 grandchildren Christopher and Marissa Byers; and brother-in-law Gary Beyersdorf.
Funeral service Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 W. Wheeler St., Midland. Family will greet guests starting at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial following the service in Richland Township Cemetery, Hemlock.
Memorials in Karen's name may be given to the family according to their wishes.
