Kenneth Parsons Obituary

Kenneth D. Parsons passed away on Jan. 8, 2014 at home in Granby, Colo. He was born April 5, 1930. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joan; daughter Kendra Klingbail; son-in-law Keith Klingbail; granddaughter Kelly Jo Townsend; great-granddaughter Jordan Townsend; and great-grandson Koltyn Townsend.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Norma Parsons; his son Kim Vern; and baby grandson Kenny Robert Klingbail; and several siblings.

He was a proud member of the Laborers Local 1098 and worked for many years at the Midland Nuclear Plant.

Funeral services for Ken will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 18th from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street. The Rev. John Pohanka will officiate, with burial in Midland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Ken's family will receive friends at the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home 1200, West Wheeler Street on Friday, from 4-7 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service. www.waresmithwoolever.com

Joan and Kendra-Don't know if you would remember me or not, I am Paul and Shirley Davis's second daughter. Sorry to hear of Ken's passing. May you find comfort in your many memories.

Dear Kendra, It has been so long since we went to school together, however going by your old house on 8 mile, I was just thinking of you and Kim last week. All these years and I can still remember your parents too, so I was sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Prayer's and Hugs to you and your family.
