Lethia Carr Obituary

Lethia M. Carr, 82, of Midland, passed away Feb. 27, 2015 at her home. Lethia was born Aug. 13, 1932, in Midland to the late James and Alice (Stark) Long. On Dec. 31, 1956 she married Walther J. Carr in Flint, who preceded her in death Oct. 21, 1999.

Lethia was a seamstress for Civic Park Cleaners for over 10 years. She loved cooking, sewing and knitting. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Lethia is survived by her son, Jeff Carr; grandchildren, Patrick Carr and Michael (Angie Etcher) Carr, John Paul and Brandy; and great-grandchildren, Gracie, Austin and Cameron Carr. She is also survived by a sister, Jane LyVere; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her two sons, Mike Carr and John Carr; her brother, Walt Long; and sisters, Elaine Skym and Evelyn Skym.

A funeral service will be held at the Smith-Miner Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Roger Stauffer of MidMichigan Medical Center officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
