I remember Cooky fondly. I played volley ball with her at St. Mary's in Springfield, Ohio. She was a lot of fun and very friendly. So sorry for your loss. Her family and loved ones are in my prayers.

There are few people in this world that I can say have had a profound impact on my life. It was heartbreaking to find out that one of them, the most inspirational, memorable educator I've ever known, has passed away after a long battle with cancer.
Mrs. Cronin came into my life shortly after I arrived in Ohio and looked out for me over the next five years as I face significant challenges and adjusted to my new environment. She inspired my love for reading through her passionate teaching, her creative activities, and the competitive programs she designed. She guided me from being the angry six year old who couldn't read to one of the most vociferous readers at Snowhill. That love for reading, writing, and learning has stayed with me my entire life and I hope to one day instill that passion in my own children.
Even though it has been more than a decade since I last saw her, Mrs. Cronin has been a constant inspiration and I will always remember her for the passionate, intelligent woman she was and I am incredibly grateful that I got to know her. In honor of her memory, I've changed my profile picture to a lighthouse--something she loved--and every time I see one, I'll think of her.

Cooky was such a kind and sweet person, and we are fortunate that she touched our lives. Though she will be missed, it gives comfort to know she will again be with her beloved husband. Our prayers are with Cooky's family.

My heart is saddened to learn about the passing of my friend, Cookie. I will always remember our time together when we served on the Clark County Public Library board of trustees. May you rest in peace...until we meet again. I pray for peace & comfort for your family.
