Nancy Rogers Obituary
Nancy Ann (Meyer) Rogers died at MyMichigan Medical Center on Sunday, May 12, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born September 29, 1931 to Henry and Harriet (Smith) Meyer in Detroit, where she attended Goodale Elementary and Denby High School.
She attended, and loved, St. Timothy Lutheran Church, where she enjoyed helping to organize many soup luncheons to benefit charities. Many of her dearest friends were those she worshiped with and served. Additionally, she enjoyed volunteering for hospice and serving as a Stephen Minister. Nancy worked as a secretary at Dow Chemical's Michigan Division for 25 years.
Nancy is survived by her children, Linda Rogers of Los Angeles, Barbara (Dan) Bradley-Kirk of SanLuis Obispo, Mary (Kevin) Kane of Midland, Patricia (Nick) Hopkins of Midland, Mark (Miriam) Rogers of Milford and James (Gail) Rogers of Grand Rapids. She adored her grandchildren, Kate (Jake) Bradley Gardner, Sean (Elyse) Kane, Quinn Kane, Jacob Steele, Vincent Rogers, Alex Rogers and Emma Rogers, as well as her 3 great grandchildren, Gianna Steele, Rowan Kane and Fiona Kane. In addition, she is survived by her loving brother, Henry (Marilynn) Meyer. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Thomas Henry Rogers, her parents and sisters, Gladys, Betty, Peggy and Mary.
She was cremated per her wishes. A service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on May 20, 2024 at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or Hospice of Michigan.
Nancy's last words to her family and friends: "God be with you 'til we meet again".
