Richard Rogers Obituary

Richard James Rogers
Richard James Rogers of Cadillac passed away, November 13, 2023 at home. He was 85. Dick was born December 17, 1937 in Midland, Michigan to Almon James and Arvella Anne (Fitch) Rogers. After graduating Midland High School in 1955 Dick went on to serve in the United States Army and attend Albion College. He later married the former Sandra Ann Morency. Dick and Sandie raised their four children in the Midland/ Clare area while Dick worked as a credit bureau manager in the Midland area. In 1993 they moved to Cadillac becoming co-owners of Bryan Vending Inc. until retiring. Dick was an extremely talented wood worker, creating intricate masterpieces of cars, trucks, and many other works with extreme detail. He was also a talented artist, still painting with acrylics. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, golfing and especially gardening. He is survived by children: Barry Rogers of Midland, Rick (Yvonne) Rogers of Manton, Kara Rogers of Midland, Kami Wade of Coleman; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and siblings: Sandy Houtman of Sanford and Jim Rogers of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He was preceded in death by parents; wife, Sandra Ann (Morency) Rogers on July 5, 2015 and sister, Nancy (Bill) Lackie. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Love, INC. An online guestbook is available at www.petersonfh.com.
