Sharon Mosher Obituary
Sharon "Sharry" Mosher
Sharon "Sharry" Sue Mosher, 78, of Midland, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center. She was born August 2, 1947, in Midland, the daughter of the late Chet and Agnes (Steckley) Yoder.
A lifelong Midland resident, Sharry graduated from Bullock Creek High School in 1965 and later studied fashion merchandising at Delta College. Though she began her career in retail, her true calling was caring for children. For many years she opened her heart and home as an in-home daycare provider, offering families a trusted place where children were safe, loved, and able to grow. Her warmth, patience, and compassion touched generations who knew her as much more than a caregiver-she was family.
Sharry also had a gift for conversation and storytelling. She could make instant connections; within minutes she drew you in and made you feel seen, building relationships that lasted. Sharry loved to escape in the winter months to Florida, where she was surrounded by family and friends; it was truly her happy place.
On June 22, 1985, Sharry married Rev. Donald James Mosher, and together they built a home centered on faith, kindness, and laughter.
Sharry is survived by her sons, R.J. Gandy of Bradenton, FL, and Brad (Susanne) Gandy of Stanwood; grandchildren Ashtin (Tyler) Freeman, Bryce (Aubrey) Gandy, Dylan (Kelsey) Jablonski, Noah (Hannah) Jablonski, Samantha (Brent Gasser) Chew, Hailey (Jake Merry) Gandy, Emily (Kenneth Grant) Gandy, and Madison Gandy; and great-grandchildren Hudson and Avery Freeman, and Violet Jablonski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Donald James Mosher; daughter, Tamara S. Gandy-Chew; and siblings Clare, Dennis, and Kathy Yoder.
Funeral service for Sharry will take place 11 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2025, at the First United Methodist Church. Paster Jeremy Africa will officiate with interment to follow in Poseyville Cemetery. Sharry's family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 9 a.m. until time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider First United Methodist Church.
Sharry's legacy lives on in the children she cherished, the families she supported, and the relationships she nurtured with her generous heart.
All of us at Ware Smith Woolever are honored the Mosher has entrusted us with the care of their loved one.
