Terry Yoder Obituary

Terry O. Yoder, 77, of Haines City, Fla., formerly of Midland, went peacefully in his sleep to meet our Lord, Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017.
Terry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of nearly 58 years, Judy (Senkbeil) Yoder; son, Blaine (Penny) Yoder of Roscommon; and daughters, Bethany (Ray) Silvestro of Palm Coast, Fla. and Angela Yoder of Haines City, Fla. He is also survived by his sister, Joyce Driest of Saginaw; grandchildren, Kelly Ducey and Trevor Ducey; and great-granddaughter, Sienna; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Duane Yoder; and sister, Delores (James) McDonald.
Born Aug. 27, 1940 in Midland, the son of Harvey and Lena (Austin) Yoder, he was a life long resident of Midland until retiring to Florida in 2002.
Terry graduated from Midland High school in 1958 and joined the U.S. Air Force. In 1959 he married Judy at the First United Methodist Church. Terry worked as a machinist at The Dow Chemical Co., a heating/air conditioning tech and dental supply salesman. Terry coached little league and was an active member in the Poseyville United Methodist Church and the surrounding community.
Terry was a devoted Christian, husband, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, card playing, singing in the church choir, reading his Bible and spending time with family and friends.
He is now free of the chair that bound him to this world. May he walk freely with his Lord.
As per his wishes, Terry has been cremated and a life celebration will take place Sept. 30, 2017 in Haines City, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Poseyville United Methodist Church in Midland, or the Gideons.

Judy...
You may not remember me, but I had the joy of working for a short time with all of you directing the choir at Poseyville UMC.
(I was dating Steve Richter at the time)
I have fond memories of Terry....and especially the warm smile that shows in the picture you chose. :-)
May the many wonderful memories that you have help the heaviness you feel without Terry at your side and may you feel the Lord's presence each day.
