Christopher (Chris) Byrne Jr. was a proud U.S. Navy submarine veteran and a premier safety, health and environmental professional whose career spanned several decades and was marked by a host of achievements and accolades.
His interests included genealogy, weather, history, sailing and supporting the needs of his community.
Chris was a brother-in-law, cousin, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather and a dear friend and mentor to many.
He is survived by his Life Partner, Anita Cox; her son, Shaun Harris; Sandra Byrne, the mother of his two children; daughter Pamela (Robert) Schmidt; son Christopher (Maria) Byrne; and three brothers, Michael (Yvonne) Byrne, Robert (Cynthia) Byrne and John (Jenny) Byrne.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at the VFW Hall in Paducah, Kentucky.
Memorial donations can be made to the CBC High School Scholarship Foundation (Proud Cadet, CBC Class of 1964).
