Donna Edwards Obituary

PAGELAND, S.C. - Donna Kay Edwards, 61, of Pageland, S.C. passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025, in Pageland, S.C., surrounded by the warmth of her family.
She was born on Dec. 18, 1963, in Lancaster, S.C. to the late Charles Outen and Barbara Brazzel Outen.
Donna's journey through life was shared with her devoted husband of 28 years, Jeffery Edwards of Pageland, S.C. She was a cherished mother to her son, Travis Deaton (Samantha) of Pageland, S.C.; his children, Gracie and Ava Deaton, Aria Whitley and Alley Gardner, and the father of Travis, Gary Deaton of Lancaster, S.C.; sons, Joshua Edwards (Jason Caselli) of Santa Rosa, CA, Jacobe Edwards (Haley) of Marshville, N.C. and his children, Nolan Edwards, Adalynn Edwards and Aleyna Edwards; and son, Brandon Edwards (Pala) of Denver, CO.
She grew up alongside her brother, Charles Outen, and sister, Stacey Outen, both of Lancaster, S.C. Her life was further enriched by her step-in-laws, Thomas and Helen Tillman; sister-in-law, Barbara Brown (Jesse) of Pageland, S.C.; and sister-in-law, Sandra "Sandy" Gulledge (Wendell) of Pageland, S.C.
Donna's extended family included numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
She was predeceased by her parents; maternal grandparents, Pastor Tommy and Mildred Brazzel; her uncle, Allen Brazzel; and her father-in-law, James W. Edwards.
Donna's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was a steadfast member of Hope Family Worship in Pageland, S.C., where she found great solace and joy in her church family. An avid gardener, Donna relished the time spent with her hands in the soil, nurturing her plants and flowers to life. She enjoyed doing yard work, where she found tranquility and satisfaction in the beauty and order she created around her home. Family gatherings by the pool were among Donna's favorite moments, as she cherished the laughter and stories shared with loved ones. Donna's love for her family was her most defining trait, and these moments by the pool encapsulated the joy she found in their company. Shopping was another of Donna's pleasures, especially when it involved finding a good deal. She had an eye for value and took pride in her ability to spot a bargain.
There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Hope Family Worship with Pastor Trey Thompson, Pastor Thomas Tillman, and Pastor Dwight Brazzel officiating. The family will receive friends following the Memorial Service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or Levine Children's Hospital via www.atriumhealthfoundation.org.
Arrangements are entrusted to Baumgartner Funeral Home (www.baumgartnerfh.com) of Pageland, S.C.
