Robert Gerald "Bob" Meidl

1937 - 2025

Robert "Bob" Gerald Meidl was born November 13, 1937 in Watsonville, CA to Anthony N. and Isabelle McElroy Meidl. He passed away September 21, 2025 in Ashland, Oregon surrounded by family.
Bob grew up in Watsonville, Ca and was a 1956 graduate of Watsonville High School. He attended one year each at Monterey Peninsula College, Oregon State and two years at San Francisco State where he obtained a bachelor's degree in political science with a minor in history. After college, he served 6 years in the California Army National Guard.
He went to work with his father in Meidl Realty and upon his father's retirement he continued operating Meidl Realty until his retirement.
He married Elaine Ferreira in 1961; they later divorced. He then married Anita Critchfield Conrad on April 8, 1988.
After retiring from the real estate business, Bob and Anita moved to Oakdale, CA where he was affectionately known as "Oakdale Bob." He had a lifelong love of fishing and spent many hours fishing with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by his spouse of 37 years; children: Kenneth (Judith) Meidl, Antionette Meidl, Linda (Gary) Brines, Jackie (John) Bauer, Michael Conrad and Mark (Debi) Conrad; grandchildren: Alice Meidl, David Brines, Terri Wilson, Leanna Stapleton, Jacob Conrad, Jessica Wells; and 12 great grandchildren.
