Vera Gugale Obituary
Vera was born in Mojdez, a small village in Montenegro on January 9, 1925. She immigrated to Watsonville in 1963. She was a homemaker, and she worked seasonally for various apple packing companies in Watsonville. She enjoyed her daily 5-mile walks with friends, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her 5 grandchildren.
Vera is survived by her son, George Gugale of San Jose and her daughter Gina Fielden (Michael) of San Jose. She is Babi (grandmother) to Joe Gugale (Berlyn), Melissa Gugale, Jack Gugale, Sofi Fielden and Natalie Fielden all of San Jose. Niece Mirjana Brajovic, nephew Velimir Vlaovic, many great nieces, a great nephew and their children all from Hecreg Novi, Montenegro. She is preceded in death by her husband Tom G. Gugale of Watsonville. She is also preceded in death by her father Jovan, mother Andjelika, siblings Bogdan Vlaovic, Gojko Vlaovic, Mirko Vlaovic, Danica Poznanovic, Djorgina Vlaovic and Velimir Vlaovic.
A private funeral service is planned. Mehl's Colonial Chapel has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.

Vera was a great, fun neighbor. She taught me how to make apple strudel with homemade crust. It was delicious. Also in the line up of homemade goods, pies, including lemon merengue pie and making various kinds of jam. We were in the kitchen for hours and she always talked about how proud she was of her children and grandchildren. We visited often and she would always say, good-bye Carmen, take care of yourself and be happy. I could not be happier for the good times we had together, creating everlasting memories.

Vera was the highlight to my move to Beverly Dr. She taught me how to make strawberry jam. She loved Montenegro and talked so much about it that I went to visit. Her two kids going and graduating from college was a highlight that put a huge smile on her face. I will forever be grateful for her welcoming me to the neighborhood and I loved listening to her talk about her country.
