Vera was a great, fun neighbor. She taught me how to make apple strudel with homemade crust. It was delicious. Also in the line up of homemade goods, pies, including lemon merengue pie and making various kinds of jam. We were in the kitchen for hours and she always talked about how proud she was of her children and grandchildren. We visited often and she would always say, good-bye Carmen, take care of yourself and be happy. I could not be happier for the good times we had together, creating...

Vera was the highlight to my move to Beverly Dr. She taught me how to make strawberry jam. She loved Montenegro and talked so much about it that I went to visit. Her two kids going and graduating from college was a highlight that put a huge smile on her face. I will forever be grateful for her welcoming me to the neighborhood and I loved listening to her talk about her country.

Vera was a great person. May she RIP.
