Linda E. Tangeman

Richmond - Linda E. Tangeman, age 82, of Richmond, Indiana, died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Reid Health.

Born August 31, 1938, in New Paris, Ohio, to Ralph and Jessie Caldwell Steele, Linda lived in New Paris and Richmond all her life. She was a 1956 graduate of Jefferson High School in New Paris, where she was a cheerleader and drum majorette. Linda retired from American Water Company with over 30 years of service. She enjoyed country music, her pets, and puzzle books.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, John Tangeman; children, Kelly (Tom) Reynolds of Richmond, Richard Tangeman of Huntsville, Alabama, and Pam Crawford of Richmond; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Pat (Palmer) Davis of Richmond; brother, Toad (Janelle) Steele of New Paris; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Opal Parks; and brother, Richard Steele.

There will be no public services for Linda E. Tangeman. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
