Nathaniel Dawkins

Richmond - Nathaniel "Nate" Dawkins, 17, of Richmond, Indiana went home to be with the Lord on March 9, 2018. He was born March 30, 2000 in Richmond, Indiana to Joseph Dawkins and Sherri Lewis.

Nate was a student at Richmond Adult Education Center, he was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Boston, Indiana. He enjoyed playing basketball, baseball, PS4 Gaming and Fishing. He was a very loving person, good hearted person who loved to make you laugh.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother: Sherri Lewis; step-father: JaJuan Wallace; grandparents: Dean and Connie Lewis and John and Pat Dawkins; grandfather: Jeff Allen; two sisters: Corina Dawkins and Aluara Wallace; four brothers: Octavian Wallace, Brian Dawkins, Jayveon Dawkins and Terrell Wallace; four aunts: Brandy Lakes, Shanon Lewis, Tabitha Jones and Marshelle Broadwell; three uncles: John Lakes, Jamaine Gray and Jon Broadwell; cousins: Tate McClain, Nolan Lakes, Ryan Lakes and many more. And a host of other relatives and friends including a special friend, Alexis "Nicole"Gregory.

He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Dawkins.

The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Gary Sellers and New Life Baptist Church in Boston, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, Please send memorial contributions to First Bank Richmond, P.O. Box 937, Richmond, Indiana, 47375 c/o Nathaniel Dawkins Benefit Fund to help cover funeral expenses.

Funeral services will be held at Community Family Funeral Home on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Gary Sellers officiating. Family and friends may call Thursday two hours prior to the service. Interment will be in Boston Cemetery, Boston, Indiana. Wow...I can't even imagine the pain the family is going through. Nate was a wonderful, loving, kid. So full of life.
