Beverly Garrett Moore

Beverly Garrett Moore, 94, of Palatka passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Radiant Nursing and Rehab in Palatka.
A native of Jacksonville, Beverly relocated to Palatka in February 2015. She had been a long-time public school teacher and worked in the HeadStart program in Jacksonville, having taught in several HeadStart Centers throughout Duval County, retiring from the Baldwin HeadStart in 2011 at the age of 80 after 45 years of service.
She was a member of St. Johns Baptist Church and was a frequent participant at the Edgar Johnson Senior Center in Palatka, where she enjoyed playing bingo, working puzzles, and needle work. She loved reading her Bible, engaging in catalog shopping, and loved spending time with her family.
Besides her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her son, Robert Lee Moore; sons-in-law, Kenneth Menser and Grady Warr; brother, Walter Lindsey Garrett; sisters and brother-in-law, Mildred Estelle Kelly (Harold) and Sandra Sue Garrett; a grandson, Daniel Leon Moore; a niece, Alisha Rogers; and nephews, Ronald Harold Kelly and Steven Woodrow Kelly.
Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Menser of Palatka and Vicki Richardson of Palatka; four grandchildren, Chad and Cricket McKinney, David Ball, Henry Howard (Sara), and Jennifer Menser (Brandon); 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and special loved ones, Jerry and Joyce Johns, and Brad and Tracy Barber.?Beverly's memorial service will be held in the spring of 2026.
