Jannette "Jan" Stoeffler

Jannette "Jan" Stoeffler, 77, of Palatka passed away Monday, July 8, 2024, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka.?
Jan was born October 2, 1946, to the late James L. and Edith Thomas Hughes. She was a 1964 graduate of Palatka High School and was of the Methodist faith. Jan was married for 39 years to Wesley Stoeffler and together, they raised two sons, John W. Stoeffler Jr. and Michael Asa Stoeffler.
Her husband died in 2003, followed by her son, Michael, in 2013.?
During her working life, Jan and her husband owned and operated several businesses, including Guys Fountain Lounge & Package in East Palatka and $7.77 Shoes in downtown Palatka. She was a charter member of Palatka Women of the Moose, #1915.?
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert and Mattie Thomas; her parents, James and Edith Hughes; her husband, John W. Stoeffler Sr.; and her son, Michael Asa Stoeffler.?
Surviving are her son, John W. Stoeffler Jr. of Palatka; a brother, William "Bem" Wilson of Palatka; sisters-in-law, Terri Dew (Chip) of Fleming Island; and Kitty Stoeffler of Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews.?
Jan is now with her Lord and her family members who went before her, and she is smiling and at a peace.?
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2024, at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka with Pastor Faith Parry officiating. Friends may call starting at 10 a.m. - an hour before the start of the service.
A private interment attended by family only will follow in Palatka Memorial Gardens.?
