Joan Linker, 81, of Palatka, Florida, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 5:15 p.m.
She was born on June 24, 1943, in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she lived most of her life. Joan married the late Walter Stephen Linker in 1963 and raised three children.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Traber (husband George); and her 2 sons, Kevin Linker (wife Paula), and Todd Linker; 3 grandchildren, Jordyn Traber, Nathaniel Linker and Benjamin Linker; and her 3 sisters, Donna Miller Whitford (husband Gary) of Virginia, Vicki Miller Horner (husband Tom) of Charlotte, Janet Miller Harmon (husband Rick) of Charlotte; and 2 brothers, Danny Charles Miller (wife Kim) of Charlotte, and Mark Miller (wife Mary) of Charlotte.
Private family services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with Bro. Ricky Bybee officiating. Burial at WestView Cemetery will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Vitas Hospice, 511 Towles Ave., Palatka, FL 32177 or to SAFE Pet Rescue of Putnam County, P.O. Box 177, Hollister, FL 32147.
