Joan A. Stoeffler

Joan Adkins Stoeffler, 57, of Palatka passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka following an extended illness.
Joan was born at Putnam Memorial Hospital in Palatka, grew up in Palatka, and attended local public schools. She then resided in Tampa for 30 years, retiring in 2018 as a portrait photographer for K-Mart. Besides her work at K-Mart, she continued to enjoy photography as a hobby, along with singing karaoke where she met a lot of her friends. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Adkins; paternal grandparents, Otis and Catherine Adkins; a step-father, James Darby; maternal grandmother, Oris Edenfield; and a nephew, Josh Mathews.
Survivors include her mother, Carol Darby of Palatka; daughter, Gina Stoeffler of Tennessee; step-son, Josh Stoeffler of Tampa; brother, Charles Adkins of Palatka; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sibyl and Rohn Stoeffler, and Rochelle and Fred Dunbar, both of Palatka; grandchildren, Xavier Stoeffler and Ezra Stoeffler; several step-brothers and step-sisters; and many nieces and nephews.?
Calling hours are from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2024, at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka, after which there will be a procession to the cemetery.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. at Etoniah Cemetery in Bardin with Pastor Alfred Johns Jr. officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, 6400 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka, FL 32177.
