Juliet Thompson Obituary

Juliet R. Thompson, 65, of St. Augustine, entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Flagler Hospital, St. Augustine. The daughter of George Edward Armstrong and Martha Albertine (Johnson) Armstrong, Juliet, a native of St. Augustine, was born on Saturday, February 15, 1958. After completing formative years of education in the St. Johns County School District, she earned an Associate's degree from St. Augustine College, Raleigh, NC in 1975. On January 12, 1979, Juliet was united in holy matrimony to Charles Thompson, blessed to have been married for 44 years (together for 48 years). Together, they became the proud parents of three daughters.
A large majority of her years of employment included working in the retail industry as a sales associate at Kmart and Chico's, officially retiring in 2011.
As an active member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, Julie's gifts and talents were uniquely displayed on the Deaconess Board and in the Women of Worship ( W.O.W.) She also served as a facilitator for the primary Sunday school class and as director and member of the church choir. Numerous other church events were masterfully orchestrated with Juliet's golden touch. Her warmth, light and love touched many lives. She will truly be missed by those who have crossed her path.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her brother, Johnel "Skip" White and brother-in-law, Kenneth Williams.
Juliet leaves to cherish her sweet memories, her husband, Charles Thompson; children, Shamika, Sharde and Shianne Thompson; grandchildren, Saniya and Major King; brothers, Gregory (Lydia) White and Joel (Joyce) White; sister, Sharon Williams; sister-in-law, Mary White; a host of 110 nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, March 31; Celebration of Life will be 2 p.m., Saturday, April 1 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 280 Duval Street, St. Augustine. Reverend Richard A. Madison, Pastor, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, St. Augustine. Online condolences: www.flaggserenitychapel.com.
