Michael McGhee Obituary
Michael Charles McGhee, 88, passed away at his home Sunday morning, October 5, 2025.
Mr. McGhee was born in Toledo, Ohio, and came to live in the Georgetown area 28 years ago, coming from the Daytona Beach area and West Palm Beach. He served his country with the U.S. Army and completed his military career with the National Guard.
He worked as an aeronautical mechanic with spaceflight operations at United Space Alliance and Lockheed Martin. He enjoyed membership with the Fraternal Order of Eagles and in his spare time he liked collecting guns, reloading bullets, sailing and fishing, but mostly he enjoyed piloting his own airplane.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mary Jane McGhee; his daughter, Terri Jo McGhee; and a brother.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sandra McGhee; a son, Robert "Bobby" (Christine) McGhee; grandson, Duane (Erica) Howard; great-grandsons, Thackery and Zendrick Howard.
No services are planned currently.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home, Crescent City, Florida

I've known Mike since I was 12. I remember he always had a beer in one hand and a hose in the other watering the grass. He was an awesome guy who loved his son Bobby very much.
