Wanda Parrish Matthews

Wanda Parrish Matthews, 70, of Bostwick passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at UF Health Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine following an extended illness.
Born in Lake Butler, FL, Wanda was a lifelong resident of Bostwick. She was a 1973 graduate of Palatka Central High School and had been a homemaker. She was a member of River Road Baptist Church and in her leisure time enjoyed crafting, camping, and fishing.
In recent years Wanda discovered a new love of taking pleasure cruises. Her great granddaughter was the "apple of her eye."
Besides her parents, William "W.G." and Dorothy Cutrer, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Ferro; and a sister, Helen Elaine Parrish.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Charles Matthews; a son, Robert Tomlinson; a daughter, Stephanie Tomlinson; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, William Parrish (Lynn), Kevin Michael Parrish (Terry), Gary Parrish, and Bobby Parrish; a step-son, Guy Matthews (Amanda); the father of her children, Ray Tomlinson; two grandchildren, Kelsey Wilkinson (Jared Higginbotham) and Joshua Wilkinson; a great-granddaughter, Presley Higginbotham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka.
