Albert Luk Obituary
Family-Placed Funeral Notice
ALBERT J. LUK 57, of Jupiter, FL passed away May 7, 2007. An accomplished conservator of fine art, Al was commissioned to restore 31 large murals of the Depression Era which had been painted under the New Deal Federal Worker Project by the City of Norwalk, CT. He was a lecturer on art and antique conservation and often was sought out as a consultant to museums of fine art and by private collectors. In his own right, he was a talented painter, photographer and highly creative sculptor who fashioned kinetic works of unique found objects. Al grew up in Trumbull, CT and attended Sacred heart University, Fairfield, CT; Paier School of Art in Hamden, CT and the Academy of Professional Art Conservation in CA. He is survived by his parents, Florence and Albert Luk of Jupiter, FL. His uncle, Ret. Col. William Luk of Raleigh NC as well as numerous cousins.

I worked with Albert on the Artist Collaboration set up by Harvey Sadow at the Armory Art Center years ago. We broke convention and shared a very special day together drawing each other's portraits when the crowd followed form and drew a still life. It was a memorable event that I will always remember. May he rest in peace.

I went to high school with Albert.. Although it wasn't till years later when I really got to know someone who really not only impressed me,but made me feel like we were always best of friends.he was truly blessed!!!
