Alexandra Sansbury Obituary

Alexandra "Ali" Sansbury
North Palm Beach -
Alexandra Lea Sansbury (Ali), age 49, passed away unexpectedly on February 6, 2021 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She was born on March 16, 1971 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Ali loved Sunday dinners with her best friend, her mom. She loved spending time with her beloved dog, MJ, and going to the beach. Ali was smart and witty, and she routinely won at trivia against her family and friends. She loved Jimmy Buffett's music and pop culture. Ali's second home was Boston, Massachusetts, where she lived for many years, and she loved everything about that city from Clam Chowder and the Red Sox to the Irish Bars. However, Ali's favorite place in the world was Walt Disney World, where visits included celebrating New Year's at Fort Wilderness with her cousins and their families and going "around the world" at Epcot Center.
Ali was a native of Palm Beach County and graduated from Cardinal Newman High School in 1989. She was voted the wittiest of her graduating class, her many friends would agree she deserved the accolade. Ali earned a degree in visual arts from Florida State University and was working towards her master's degree in fine arts at The University of Florida. She was a dedicated art teacher at her Alma Mater, Cardinal Newman High School, and was adored by her students.
Her life was too short, and she will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
Ali is survived by her mother Katherine Simcoke and her husband James of North Palm Beach, Florida and her father, Tom Sansbury and his partner Doris Lewis of Naples, Florida, her brothers Charles Sansbury and his wife Catherine of Austin, Texas, James Simcoke and his wife Emily of Needham, Massachusetts, and sister, Susan Alpert and her husband Jay of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
She also leaves her aunts and uncles Gail Leslie, Patricia and Jerry Allsteadt, Jake Varn and John Sansbury, her nephews and nieces, John and William Sansbury, Graham Simcoke and Molly and Mackenzie Alpert, and her cousins, Matthew and Ryder Sansbury, Tara Polen, Craig Varn and Karen Haber, Barbara Leslie and Jeannie Rankin, David, Steven and Christopher Allsteadt, and Nicholas and Elizabeth Colodiy.
There will be a Mass at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 10970 Jack Nicklaus Drive, North Palm Beach, Florida on Friday February 12, 2021 at 1:30 pm. A Celebration of her Life will be held at the Church following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cardinal Newman Scholarship Fund.
