Allen Manus Obituary

ALLEN S. MANUS Allen S. Manus, 79 years old, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Toronto, Canada, died on Monday, November 24, 2003 at the Florida Medical Center due to complications from surgery. Born in Canada, he was a resident of Palm Beach from 1951 until he moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1984. His is survived by his wife, Elizabeth ÒLibbyÓ Manus; a daughter, Jane Manus von Richthofen and her husband Rene; a granddaughter, Ann Jonas; and his sister, Shirley Manus Pascoe. Additional survivors include LibbyÕs children: Sam ÒPokeyÓ Weiss of Morgantown, WV, and Joe Weiss (Frances) and their daughter Jordan, also of Morgantown, WV; and many extended family members and friends throughout the United States and the world. Mr. Manus was preceded in death by his brother, Cecil Manus. A Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 1201 South Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33401, with Rabbi Alan Sherman of the Jewish Federation of the Palm Beaches officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. ManusÕ memory to the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Office of Development, P.O. Box 016962, Suite C002, Miami, Florida 33101.
