Anislav Varbanov Obituary

Stunt performer Anislav Varbanov, 30, was fatally injured during a rehearsal for the "Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular." He was doing a tumbling roll after 7 p.m. when he was hurt. Disney workers dialed 911 at 7:34 p.m. to report that a cast member sustained a head injury. Varbanov was rushed to Florida Hospital Celebration Health, where he was pronounced dead at 8:53 p.m., Orange County sheriff's deputies said. Varbanov was the the third cast member in seven weeks to die after sustaining injuries while working. The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration as well as the Orange County Sheriff's Office have been contacted in Varbanov's death. The Sheriff's office is investigating.

When tragedy strikes and takes the life of our loved ones, we cry out with great sorrow. Be assured that your tears are not unnoticed by the Creator of life. Although your deep pain will not easily disappear, praying to God will bring comfort to you as you grieve. The Bible tells us that God is "healing the broken-hearted ones, and is binding up their painful spot". May the "Father of tender mercies" and the "God of all comfort" strengthen your faith and give you courage to face the days ahead. I am very sorry for your loss.

My son is also a Disney employee. Our family is heart broken for Anislav's family and friends. He will be missed. He was an amazing man.

What a tragedy! I've never been to Disney World, I heard about the terrible accident and my heart hurts for Anislav and his loved ones. I will keep you in my prayers. God Bless You.
