Strange to say, I scarcely knew the man. When I was a very young man growing up in New Haven, he was my much older neighbor, the son of my neighbor, in fact. I remember his car, which had a rumble seat (i think I'm using the right word), his brother Larry--who was my mother's age--and his mother, Helen, who was never very warm or friendly to the child that was me. Life is strange, eh?

I am sad to hear about Arnold. I still have great memories playing with him late in the afternoons.

Arnie created many wonderful memories for all of us. May those memories serve as a source of strength to the entire Whitten family.

We are deeply saddened by this news. Arnold was a classy person and his name rekindles so many great golf memories. He will be missed.

We were both very saddened to learn of Arnie's recent passing. He was a lovely, handsome man with a great smile. We were once members of the same golf club in CT where he was affectionately known and Mr. Dawn-to- Dusk for the many hours of golf he played every day. He had one of the most beautiful golf swings I ever saw......so fluid and easy and the ball would travel forever.
We want to express our most sincere condolences to his beautiful wife, Anne, and family. He was a very sweet man and will be missed.
Our Deepest Sympathy,
Marty & Marti Anastasio
