1966 - 2018

PRICE, Ashleigh Kristen Ashleigh Kristen Price, age 52 passed away on September 5, 2018 after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Born to parents Ron and Debbie Price on July 11, 1966 in Bloomington, IL. The family moved to Lake Park in 1969. She graduated from North Shore High School in 1984. She then followed her lifelong dream to become a teacher of the deaf/hearing impaired by attending Flagler College in St. Augustine. After graduation she returned to Palm Beach County where she began her career, starting in the school district first as an interpreter and then as a teacher for the deaf/hard of hearing. She later became an ESE coordinator and teacher of students with emotional/behavioral disabilities. Her last eleven years were devoted to deaf education, most recently as an itinerant teacher. Ashleigh worked diligently to help her students gain confidence and thrive. Her family and friends benefitted from her strong and loving spirit. Ashleigh's love of life was also seen through her passion for animals, especially rescue dogs. Many family vacations, often to California were among Ashleigh's favorite times. Throughout her youth she was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, North Palm Beach. Ashleigh is survived by her daughters, Jackie and Aubrey, parents Ron and Debbie, brother Ryan and niece Tauren, grandmother Eloise Campbell, partner Bob Calhoun and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents William Fitzsimmons and Ed and Maggie Henninger. The family would like to thank Dr. Avram Smukler and TrustBridge Hospice for their loving care.
